BioMed Realty, a leading provider of real estate solutions for the life science and technology industries, is expanding its footprint to Somerville with the development of Assembly Innovation Park.
Northstar was engaged to provide owner’s project management services for Phase I which consists of a 500,000 SF core shell office/lab building, a nine-story above-grade, 1,200 car parking structure with core shell space for the City of Somerville’s Fire Station as well as two new private roads and upgrades to existing adjacent public roadways. Phase I’s office/lab building is targeting LEED Platinum and a Well certification.
Northstar was also engaged to manage the planning and design of Phase II which includes two 500,000 SF core shell office / lab buildings and a one-acre public park to support the future discretionary permitting process.
